Festive holiday concert

The accordion orchestra Euphonia presents a festive Christmas concert in the Wilmersdorf Auenkirche on the eve of the fourth Advent. With the holiday season fast approaching, Euphonia invites you to escape the pre-Christmas hustle and bustle. With a concert full of cheerful and contemplative moments, the anticipation of the holidays increases. The musical variety ranges from tangos and baroque music to well-known Christmas chorales. Euphonia performs works by Astor Piazzolla, Johann Sebastian Bach, Georg Friedrich Händel and others.

In addition to the title aria from the cantata “Jesu, der du meine Seele” by Johann Sebastian Bach, Christmas passages from Handel’s oratorio “Messiah” will also be performed. For the well-known soprano aria “Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion”, the ensemble, consisting of 20 accordion players, has invited soprano Antonia Schuchardt as a special guest. The up-and-coming soloist already wowed the audience at the last Euphonia concert with her interpretation of “Carmina Burana” with her presence and vocal brilliance.
